Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller part. Amy had a difficult time making the switch from modeling to acting since models are not usually considered good actors. They're often given small or unimportant roles. Amy did not give up and she eventually landed larger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy later stepped into lead roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. The film became a massive box office success and Amy has finally achieved the fame she had been striving for for over a decade.
